MiiND’s School Workshops

Introducing MiiND’s Mental Well-being Workshops

One in four young people experience mental health challenges, and over 50% of these challenges start before the age of 14 years. At MiiND, we firmly believe that early intervention is crucial in promoting positive mental well-being among young people. That’s why we are excited to present our comprehensive school mental well-being workshops.

During this one-hour session, our dedicated team will empower your students to prioritise and take charge of their mental well-being. We understand that capturing students’ attention and engaging them actively is vital for effective learning. Therefore, our workshops are designed to be engaging, interactive, and filled with meaningful activities.

The core focus of our workshops is equipping young people with practical strategies, tips, and tools to safeguard their mental well-being. We delve into various techniques that can easily be implemented in their daily lives, encouraging them to adopt a proactive approach to nurturing their mental well-being.

Our workshops, carefully developed by Carmen Nielsen (BPsychSc(Hons); MProfPsych) and based on evidence-based strategies, are delivered by highly trained professionals who possess extensive experience and knowledge in the field. They combine their expertise with a warm and approachable demeanor, fostering an atmosphere that encourages student participation and involvement. We firmly believe that learning about mental well-being should be an enjoyable and empowering experience for all.

If you are interested in having us speak at your school, please enquire below or reach out to us via email at miind@strengthpotential.com.au. Together, let’s empower the young minds of our community to prioritise their mental well-being and embark on a journey of resilience, growth and fulfillment.

Hi, I’m Carmen, the author and co-creator of MiiND. I hold an Honours and Master’s degree in Professional Psychology from the University of the Sunshine Coast. My lifelong passion has revolved around positively impacting the mental well-being of young individuals, providing them with essential techniques, strategies, and tools to thrive. I am dedicated to empowering young people to speak up and take control of their mental health journeys. In 2022, I had the privilege of joining the Strength Potential Team. Since then, I have had the opportunity to create a series of strategy workbooks aimed at targeting common mental health challenges. Additionally, I had the opportunity to play a pivotal role in the development of the MiiND platform. By incorporating my educational background, passion, and experience, I strive to empower young people and make a lasting impact on their mental well-being throughout my work with MiiND.

Hey there! I'm Matt, the CEO of Strength Potential. My passion lies in unlocking the incredible potential within young individuals, guiding them towards becoming the very best versions of themselves. With a journey that started back in 2017, I've had the amazing opportunity to work closely with young people in various capacities, including my role as a Youth Pastor from 2018 to 2022. Alongside that, I joined the Strength Potential team in early 2020 and have since progressed through different roles, from being a youth mentor and team leader to eventually becoming CEO, all while witnessing the remarkable growth and expansion of Strength Potential. And now, as the MiiND project has come to fruition, I've been privileged to collaborate with the talented MiiND team to turn this project into a reality.
